TB works only in safe mode

Since one hour ago I can't create and send new emails or answer incoming emails in Thunderbird. The corresponding editor screen remains white and cannot be edited.

I have already started TB in safe mode - everything works fine here. I restarted TB, set all addons to disabled, finished TB completely and restarted it again. Without success. I then uninstalled all addons and restarted TB. Without success.

Only in safe mode I can now create, reply and send emails in TB.

Do you have any idea what else I can try to do to get TB back to normal, i.e. without safe mode?

Launch in safe mode, check 'Reset toolbars and controls' and click 'Make changes and restart'. Does TB then work properly? If it doesn't, there could be another source, such as hardware acceleration or a css file.

Thank you very much, I have followed your instructions and now it looks as if everything is working normally again. Of course without addons - I had deleted them all before.
