It would be nice if you could develop an android email and calendar apps ?

I use firefox for laptop, and phone.

I use Blackberry Hub App for email app. It is good. Better than samsung native. and the calendar which is usually adds to the worth of the subscription but crashing problems, syncing....I had to add the gmail account directly instead of via Blackberry hub to ensure accurate calendar display.

Only apps I really use from BB Hub along with their contacts app since integrates with the 2 others.

You could even make it subscription like BB at just over $1 per month ?

Thunderbird BizApp ?

Thunderbird is only a desktop email client.

There is no intention of developing an app for android. It has been asked several times and the answer is still the same. Thunderbird takes enough time an effort from a few paid developers and a load of help from unpaid volunteers to keep up with support, development, security and bug fixes. Thunderbird relies on donations just to keep going. It is not a large corp like microsoft or apple etc who charge for everything and so have resources to develop programs etc. There is a difference between donations for Thunderbird and donations for Mozilla Firefox. They are not one and the same.

However, Mozilla Firefox does offer apps. See info:

I'm quite aware of the distinction vs big data gathering corporates.

I believe my comment about making it (A Thunderbird Biz app covering those three functions - email, calendar and contacts) a subscription based service shows the interest in addressing the issue with respect to volunteers, and donations.

I'm also aware it has been asked previously but times change and there may be willingness to nudge. Especially given some recent trends as witnessed in the IM world where more people are finally catching on to the benefits of Signal which I've had for a while.

There hardly seems any point in developing TB for Android, beyond raising its profile with phone users, since mail, calendars and contacts can be synchronized between TB and mobile apps, using add-ons like TbSync and IMAP mail accounts.
