When I open Thunderbird it open to the trash folder. How can I get it back to open with the inbox folder?

TB defaults to opening with the folder that was open at the last closing. If it doesn't, Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder, delete session.json. There is also an add-on to set a specific folder to open on launch, no matter which one was open at closing:
