When I get a response from my website (which is in Czech language), the email I receive is perfectly readable when viewed in webmail.

When downloaded in Thunderbird, however, it's a jumble of unintelligible ASCII characters. How can I solve the problem?

Regards Patrick

What settings do you have in the following location?

  • Menu app icon > Options > Options > Display > 'Formatting' tab
  • click on 'Advanced..' button

This opens the 'Fonts & Encodings' .

Please post an image of the 'Fonts & Encodings'.

So I changed the incoming mail font to UTF-8 and everything seems OK now. Thanks for helping.
