I've been using Email Crawler to add names to my address book, but this add-on no longer works. I've gone through available add-ons but can't find a replacement.

The way I had used Email Crawler was to go through a list of emails I received, then without opening each email I selected the ones I wanted, then added them at the same time to an address book. Is there a different add-on or way of doing this?

thanks,

Chosen solution

I starred a few messages from my inbox, and edited the filter I created to include only starred messages, but nothing shows up in the designated address book.

I'm doing this so I can export a .CSV file to upload to my list provider. I'm attaching 2 images.

thanks

With FiltaQuilla 2.1pre7 installed, it's possible to create a filter with the Action 'Add Sender to Address List' and specify an address book or mailing list. Tested and working in TB 68.8/W10.

Thanks for your suggestion,I've installed FileQuilla but can't figure out how to use it. Does it need Quickfilters add-on as well? I've installed that too but still can't figure out how to do what I want, namely select emails and send the addresses to an address book.

thanks

Under Tools/Add-on Options, select FiltaQuilla and check the box for 'Add Sender...' as in the 1st picture. Then, Tools/Message Filters, create a filter like the 2nd picture. You can add specific criteria such as Age in Days is less than 21, or the Subject contains some text etc. Select any address book or list, and run the filter on any folder from the Message Filters window. Quickfilters is separate and not needed.

The suggested filter runs manually, but you can have it also run automatically on incoming mail if desired.

Thanks for your reply. I've followed your instructions, but I seem to be adding all the email addresses from a folder into my address book. What I want to do is select some email addresses and have only those go into my address book. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. My process:

I created a filter that runs manually and sends addresses to my address book. Using my Inbox I manually select some messages. I go to Tools>Message Filter> and manually run the filter I created

I thought selecting/highlighting just a few messages would send the email addresses from a folder to my chosen address book. Obviously I'm either doing something wrong or misunderstand something.

Filters run on folders, so to have them act on only some messages, add rules as in the attached picture.
