Hello, I am using the Microsoft Photos App with Windows 10. When someone sends me a .jpeg attachment and I click it, the one Thunderbird has for the default is not the one I want. When I click the down arrow next to it and click "Other" the Microsoft Photos App is not on the list. When I click "Browse" and check the Program Files and Program Files (86) Microsoft Photos is not listed and I do not know anywhere else to look. This may be a question for Microsoft, but as I had no problem making Microsoft Photos my default photo app in Windows and it comes up whenever I open a .jpeg I have saved on the computer, I figured Thunderbird Help was the place to start. Thank you for your time.

There is a Microsoft.Photos.exe, but selecting it from Browse... is a bit complex since it's stored in a hidden folder with special permissions:

C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.Windows.Photos_2020.19111.24110.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

(you may have a different date string)

Type %ProgramFiles% into the address bar of File Explorer to show the WindowsApps subfolder, then follow the prompts to open it.

Thank you for your reply.

I have attached a snip of the Programs folder. As you can see there is no WindowsApps subfolder.

Any other ideas?
