Upgrade over or uninstall when upgrading?
Hi! I've been deploying Firefox for a while now. One question I was never able to find an answer to, is this: after adding a new upgrade package and selecting a package it will upgrade, should one choose the "Uninstall the existing package, then install upgrade package" or the "Package can upgrade over the existing package" option? I've been upgrading over and it seems to have been working OK, but I never got a confirmation one way or another. Is there a preference here for Firefox?

Yeah, we do pretty well installing one over the other.

What is that screenshot from?
Group Policy Management Editor for Active Directory. I created a software distribution policy and have been deploying and updating Firefox through it on my Windows domain. This window opens when adding a new package and selecting "Advanced" options. I just want to know if it's recommended to uninstall before installing a newer version.
I don't see any reason you shouldn't be able to just upgrade.
That's what I've been doing and it seems to have been working fine. I was just wondering if there is a recommendation/official way for this since this option is here and that means some software might require it? But it looks like not Firefox. I guess it handles all that needs to be done when it encounters older version upon installation so it doesn't need the OS to do it.
