"Subject" column has disappeared from all of my inbox messages. Restore column order does not work. No "restore default" available as a choice.

"Subject" column shows for all "sent" messages but not for any in my inbox. It simply disappeared in the middle of a work day. All column choices (e.g. "thread", "starred", "attachments", "read", etc that are on for my sent box are also on for my inbox. Tried turning everything on. Tried "restore column order". There is no "restore default" available. There is no file in my inbox that has a subject showing and, therefore, one solution previously suggest is not possible. Tried right clicking on a file and that did nothing. Without "subject" column this becomes close to useless. HELP PLEASE!! Using a PC with Windows 10.

Chosen solution

Try this: open a folder that has the column titles and messages properly displayed, e.g. Sent, then click the column selector icon at the right end of the titles, Apply columns to... and select the faulty folder, e.g. Inbox.
