lockwise doesn't automatically generate password
Hi, Now that I wanted to start using Lockwise properly and let it generate passwords (never did this before so far), it doesn't do that on my macbookpro. Also when i control-click it doesnt show any options. I really don't nunderstand, ive read a lot on the forum but i cant find a solution. I recently did a fresh install of firefox 74.0.
I hope someone can help me!

Is this feature enabled if you check that in "Options/Preferences -> Privacy" and check these prefs on the about:config page ?
- signon.generation.available = true
- signon.generation.enabled = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Thanks Cor-el! I dont understand how, but it now works! ;)
Hi everyone,
I tried the "about:config page" method and put "true" on both, but it doesn't work.
Is there any other method that is available? Lockwise was able to generate passwords last month, then it doesn't work anymore. I would like to use it because I like it a lot.
Hi ctruong601
You aren't using Private Browsing mode ?
Make sure you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; Never Remember History).
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/private-browsing-use-firefox-without-history
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/common-myths-about-private-browsing
- Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history" - remove checkmark: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
This isn't working for me either to generate a password, I'm not in a private window and both of those settings are set to true as well.
