Chosen solution

You'll first have to create an email account with an email provider (e.g. like Gmail) if you don't have one yet. You can then set up that existing account in Thunderbird. See https://support.mozilla.org/kb/automatic-account-configuration

Use the program that works best for you.

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-gmail Thunderbird and Gmail Thunderbird can be set up to work seamlessly with Google's Gmail. Messages will be synchronized between your local version of Thunderbird and web-based Gmail.
