I don't remember password I used for an old email I configured on Thunderbird on a computer with Windows XP and now I am using Linux. I have just old hard-disk of old computer and I can't boot old hard-disk because operative system is broken. How can I see password? I know some browser use SQLite to store password in a file. So, in which file are stored account settings and password and which program to use to see everything?

Thanks in advance.

Luca

As passwords are stred on the local disk in an encrypted form, knowing the file that contains it will not be all that helpful without the decryption key.

Hi Try signons.sqlite file - or logins.json, depending on how old the version is. I can't help with how to see the contents.
