My Samsung Moto G6 recently got a security update. I just happened to be looking at it when it completed and the phone started up and saw a notification display for less 1 second that said "firefox geolocation services".

At first I thought the setting in FF had been changed by some update as Android apps update constantly. When I looked, it was still off. I saw an extra button to "learn more". You click that and scroll down to the bottom of the page and find yet another link for "learn more about opting out". That leads you to yet another page "https://location.services.mozilla.com/optout "

(So apparently turning off geolocation only stops FF from sharing it with websites but doesn't stop them from gathering that data themselves and using it for whatever they want).

On that last page I was informed I had to append "-nomap" to my routers SSID to prevent Firefox from using my geolocation data. They claim that this is a "common" way to stop many apps from gathering and using geolocation data.

Appending -nomap to my routers SSID (Lynksys EA2700) causes the parental control feature to malfunction.

I have 2 devices setup to block internet access during specific times. Appending -nomap to my SSID caused those devices internet access to be always blocked.

I appended -nomap to my routers SSID on 01.16.20 and didn't have any problem until today 01.25.20.

Rebooting the router didn't help.

Removing -nomap from the end of my SSID cured the problem and now the parental control work as before.

Having a switch to "turn off geolocation" that doesn't actually turn it off in the first place is, pardon my language, bullshit! Then having us dig through several layers of said "bullshit" to find a so called fix, is even worse.

On top of that your lame excuse and work around also causes problems with other hardware.
