Today, when I hit Ctrl +C to copy or Ctrl + V to paste, the type size reduces instead of copy or paste

It always worked before. Some updates have come down. Is there a way to set this so I can copy and paste again? Thank you so much!

It is not happening for me, also on windows 10. I suggest you try the following. Restart Thunderbird with add-ons disabled (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled" and continue to safe mode when prompted. If Thunderbird works like normal, there is an Add-on or Theme interfering with normal operations. You will need to re-enable add-ons one at a time until you locate the offender.

Are you on 68.3.1? When I went to see the version, it says Starting a download now.

The control key is also reducing the size in Firefox. I'll try it, but I have no add-ons or themes. Thanks for help.
