Retry Enter New Password Cancel My password is correct as I use it to login on the server

Chosen solution

Try changing your login authentication method to "Oauth2" - I just did that with My gmail account using these directions: https://www.supertechcrew.com/thunderbird-oauth2-gmail/

You will have to enable cookies in TB preferences, I discovered.

Otherwise, I got my Gmail account secured relatively easily doing all of those steps listed. I hope this helps YOU, also.
