https://about.downthemall.org/4.0/?cur=4.2 has taken over my Firefox and won't ;et me do anything else. On opening Firefox I get "...Firefox can’t find the file at jar:file:///C:/Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/browser/omni.ja!/chrome/en-US/locale/branding/browserconfig.properties...." then after a few seconds, a second tab opens on site - https://about.downthemall.org/4.0/?cur=4.2

That is usually a problem with the Homepage setting.

You can check the homepage setting.

Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

Disable DownThemAll! Then contact their support.

As suggested, found problem as a 'custom home page' URL. Deleted and hasn't come back after removing the 'add-on' as well
