Deleting from recently bookmarked items also deletes from book marks. How do I stop this?

Why you would be using bookmarks in Thunderbird is beyond me. it no longer works as a browser and the add-on that did it only works with very old versions.

Then there is the issue of what you are doing.

Recent bookmarks are just that recently added bookmarks. they are not some category you need to manage. those items are already in bookmarks. So of course deleting them will delete the bookmark. There is only one bookmark and if falls into the category of recent.
