Why is FF blocking “https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js” with the default Content Blocking?
With *Standard* content blocking, i get `Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://www.google-analytics.com/analytics.js”. `

It shouldn't be. I run a website that uses Google Analytics and none of my tracking code gets blocked from Firefox Content Blocking. My guess would be that there is another setting or add-on that you have enabled that is blocking Google Analytics.

In a private window where Tracking Protection kicks in? Yes, of course, Google Analytics is on the Disconnect basic list of third party tracking servers. I'm not sure whether Wesley's comment was based on regular windows or private windows.

There are two points in that tweet:
(1) We have also thought about this issue! We aren't planning to block loading the GA script itself at this point.
That #1 refers to a new feature he is working on.
(2) Note that GA has been blocked for some time in private windows with Tracking Protection, and that will not change...
And that #2 refers to the issue you have now.
