timezone incorrect in emails
hello, I've noticed that my emails have 2 hours difference with my time, they are in UTC obviously, while I'm on UTC+2, I searched on google and neither my computer's timezone is wrong, nor could I find a tz and/or an autoexec.bat file containing this, I also added an entry in my config file with mailnews date, that didn't work either
Chosen solution
I solved it, it should have been this: privacy.resistFingerprinting = true
thanks!

Starting in version 60 there is a new time zone option. The 10th item in the release notes describe where it is. Maybe that is causing your issue. https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/60.0/releasenotes/
Hello there Patrickdrd.
Hi there you have the settings viewed from your computer itself, it could be that you have not filled in properly so that there is a time to come there but incoming messages adapt when coming on your computer machine so that there is a wrong time and or display date?

What does that setting have to do with the time in your emails? Please I am inquiring to learn here.
So given Thunderbird has no user interface for this resist fingerprinting setting how did the value get changed.
tools -> options -> advanced -> config editor
Hi Your solution also got me interested as it is known/used in Firefox browser options.
Are you by any chance using Thunderbird on a Linux OS ?
nope, Windows

That would be how you changed it now, but that would not be how it got changed in the first place surely, you would remember changing something like that.
Also, are you sure it was privacy.resistFingerprinting = true That will force your timezone to be UTC that is Greenwich or the UK. Your email would indicate UTC is not the appropriate timezone for you, or was it what you were seeking in the first place.
well I had set it to true actually and I reverted to false is what I did, and I had set it to true because of some thunderbird hardening suggested I had read
