How do I put the tabs back on the bottom in Firefox 65 running MacOS, while keeping the colored buttons up at the top left?

I want to put the tabs back on the bottom in Firefox 65. I tried the solutions here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1248277 and https://www.reddit.com/r/FirefoxCSS/comments/alkfjk/tab_below_address_bar_and_status_bar_its_broken/ but in both cases it moved the three colored buttons (red/yellow/green) from the normal position at the top left. The first one moves them down into the page display area(!) and the one from Reddit puts them at the top right, which would be correct if you were running Windows but not MacOS (also the one on Reddit has a thing at the bottom with some base64 code that's not been explained, therefore if anyone tries it I would at least leave out the last three lines until such time as we know exactly what they do).

I just want to know how to do this while keeping the three colored buttons up at the top left, where they are located in every other Mac application. Thanks!

I have the same issue. Why isn't there a choice for top or bottom? I hate the tabs on top. It takes too much time to go back to every computer and fix Firefox.

Does anyone know how to put the tabs back on the bottom after the v65 update using a Mac operating system?

The "Chosen Solution" at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1248277 worked for me except that it put the three colored buttons at the wrong place. I added this to the end:

.titlebar-buttonbox-container{
  position: fixed;
  top:0;
  left:0;
  height: 0px;
}

And it works, sort of, although I had to add some spacers at the start of that line to keep them from overlapping the browser's back/forward buttons. I don't think this is exactly a correct fix, but it is working well enough for now. One thing to be aware of is if you are in the habit of double clicking in the top bar to increase the window size to full screen, it only works now if you double click in the area directly over where the three colored buttons appear. That's also the "grab area" if the window is less than full size and you want to reposition it on the screen.

There's probably a better or more correct way to do this, but if so I haven't come across it yet.
