Getting auto generated message: SendHTTPRequest error SyntaxError: The URI is malformed - Mac Sierra, Thunderbird 60.4.0 (64 bit)
I've used TB for years, love it, and in the last few weeks started getting a little pop up message: SendHTTPRequest error SyntaxError: The URI is malformed I'm using two email accounts, both sending and receiving email as normal. This comes at random times as though there is an email trying to be sent, although I have nothing in any drafts folder, or am not sending anything at the time. I've just updated to latest version TB - problem still persisting. I checked my add-ons (no add ons) and extensions - got rid of some which were out of date, and left with only a few trusted ones; Lightning calendar ext., Gcontact sync, Cardbook Vcard address book. If there is an error log somewhere I could attach this as well if it helps. Thanks in advance for any help you might have. Greg

It will almost certainly be one of the add-ons. Progable gcontact sync as I understand it uses HTTP get requests internally to get your address book online.
Try disabling the add-ons one at a time to identify which is the cause. Then contact the add-ons author or the add-ons support email or site.
