Hello, Experts!

I would like to switch from using Outlook for Mac 2011. I don't want to upgrade to the 2016 version since I've read about some issues. I have several email folders for my clients. Most off them do NOT have attachments. I usually detach most attachments and place them in folders on my Mac.

Would you please tell me how to Import all of my emails, contacts and calendars from Outlook for Mac 2011 to Thunderbird? Is it possible to import one identity?

Thank you for any help you can offer!

Chosen solution

The first thing to try (and I haven't tried it), would be to install TB 60 on the same computer that has Outlook, then in TB Tools/Import..., don't select Import Everything, then choose Mail and Contacts in separate steps. Calendars should be exported as ics or csv from Outlook (not sure which is better) and imported to TB from the Calendar tab under Events & Tasks when Lightning is installed.

Thank you sfhowes! I'll have to give it a try. I'm hoping that it won't get too involved.

I would advise a degree of cautious optimism, as the import from Outlook has had a checkered past. You may have to resort to a commercial Outlook-TB conversion software.
