Can I create folder and sub folders

I'm new to Thunderbird. What I haven't been able to figure out, is how to create a new file folder. For example...I received an email, "XYZ" and I'd like to file it in a folder.....Can we create new file folders then sub folders? Thank you.

Right click New Folder.
