When I open browser I get the message "some error occurred while calling openx

Yesterday, Norton Security came in as my PC needed help. He cleaned out all the files etc. to clean the machine up for me. Now when I open Firefox, I get the message "some error occurred while call openx. It also appears that I am opening in Microsoft edge and not firefox. I have never had that message but something has happened and I do not want to spend hours on trying to fix it without knowing what it means. Can someone help me????
