How can I avoid, that Firefox Focus loads each tab again and scrolls to the top, just by switching between them?

I often compare different webpages and scroll to a specific position. After I turn back to a once loaded and scrolled website, it gets loaded again and is scrolled to the top.

I read, that it might be a issue with the RAM. I doubt it: I shut down all apps, emptied all caches and opened just two simple sites. The problem remained. Doing the same with Google Chrome on the same system: no problem.

It cannot be, that a mobile browser is loading loaded site all the time. What can I do?

Thanks for your help.

There is not a way to avoid this short of using a more full featured browser such as Firefox for Android. The team is looking at ways to still ensure that Focus is a private browser without needing to reload every page on tab switch. At this time the reloading is safer and simpler to implement.

Thank you!

Do I get it right: Firefox Focus has not real tabs. In fact, it just remembers a list of URLs, and loads them when requested, one by one?

The privacy advantage I get is: The cache can be emptied with every URL request, the sites cannot track me by knowing what I have loaded in my cache so far?

It is kind of disappointing. I was really excited to get a clean simple and fast browser without all the fuzz and updated my old android 4.4.2 phone to lineage to be able to load Focus.

I am sure your team will find a solution, meanwhile I will use another browser.

Best wishes to you and your team.
