How can I completely customize the accounts and folders?
I've been using Thunderbird for years now. Over the years I have added 2 additional email accounts to thunderbird and they way the accounts and folders were showing up was all three Inboxes were at the top, followed by all three sent folders, junk folders, trash folders. The Inboxes were on their own but each of the other standard folders had an arrow beside it that I would click to view each accounts folder. Below that were headings for each additional account that was not the default and under each of those were my own created folders. I had many filters set up to certain emails would go directly into those folders. Everything was just as I wanted it. Now t be clear, I did not customize the way the accounts were arranged other than to name my default account, that's just how it worked out as I added the additional accounts.
Then this past Friday, my computer froze, thunderbird was 'not responding' along with 2 or three other programs. And I had to 'end task' out of them through task manager. And finally had to do a hard boot in order to restart. When I did, thunderbird was COMPLETELY reorganized. Every folder that belonged to each account is now under that account meaning -- Inbox, custom folder, drafts, templates, sent, junk, archives, trash each for each of the three accounts. Now that pane of thunderbird is nearly twice as long, half of my filters have stopped working because now the paths are all incorrect.
How could this have happened just from a crash? I can't say for sure which program was the original one that stopped responding but as usual, once one does, they tend to follow suite depending how hosed up it actually is.
More importantly, how can I reorganize it the way it was? It's so cumbersome now and these being work accounts, with many many emails a day coming through, I depended on that organization. The manually sort add on (I don't think) is what I'm looking for as that looks to only sort folders within the accounts. I would love to get my condensed version back.
Your thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

All that has occurred is the folder "view" has changed from Unified to All. If you do not have a folder pane toolbar that says "All folders" right click the toolbar on the top of Thunderbird where it says Get messages write etc and select "folder pane Toolbar"
If you already have a folder pane toolbar just click it and change the view to unified from the drop down menu.
This will have nothing at all to do with filter though, it is purely a cosmetic view of your accounts as are the other selections on the menu.

Well I feel a little bit silly now. But THANK YOU!! (I was kinda feeling like someone changed all my seat settings in my car and I couldn't get them back the way I had them!)
Thank you again!
