If you're talking about "highlighting" text in a message. The only way I know to do it is with the Add-on: Highligher
I was using it, but it no longer works in TB 6. If you're still using TB 5, it was working just last week in TB 5 for me.
Thanks, sfhowes.
I added the extra format buttons add-on. I had (have) one little issue with it. When I customize the writing toolbar from within a new message, it works okay up until the point of closing the customize dialog box. It won't close?
The only way to get rid of it is to cancel the message. Then it's gone and does not return.
(This issue is not there if extra format buttons add on is not installed. With or without the Highlighter add-on does not off Toolbar customization.)
Thanks
I don't know, sfhowes.
I renamed my TB directory and restarted. I added one email account. Did not add any addons. Did not change any settings except I toggled the config extensions.strictCompatibility to false. I added EFB and restart. Then I opened a Write window and proceeded to customize the formatting toolbar. I just added the highlighting icon and clicked Done and that dialog box will not close!
It's not a big deal, because I can just close the Write Window.
Are you using TB on Mac or Windows? I'm on Mac Sierra 10.12.6
