When I delete a message, TBird then jumps to an old message, not the next one.

I am using POP mail. I have three different email addresses that I access with Thunderbird. On only one account, when I delete a current message, instead of advancing to the next message, it goes back to a much earlier dated message. On my other accounts, when I delete a message, it goes to the next one, unless it was the last, when it goes to the new "last" message. I then have to scroll back to the end of my message list to see the next in line.

Chosen solution

Try this, maybe something is awry with the indexing.

  • right click on folder and select 'Properties'
  • Click on 'Repair folder' button
  • click on OK

That did the trick. I've waited a day or two to get emails in and deleted, and now it acts like it should.

Thank you
