I changed the background color to black. Now I can see nothing.
I changed the background colors in Firefox preferences (61.0.2), and now I can see nothing. Cannot change it back, because I cannot see the controls. I tried "about.config", but it brings me only to a black screen. Is there a way to return to defaults?
Chosen solution
It might be possible to select text to make it visible.
You can paste this text in the location/address bar and accept the warning.
- about:config?filter=browser.display.background_color
That will open the about:config page with prefs that match this filter. You can double-click the line to modify the value of the pref (#FFF = white) if you can't use Reset in the right-click context menu.

Have you tried rebooting. or restarting Firefox as it should not have gone all Black as I run in Black.

I'm going to link you to a thread where I gave two really long replies for this problem: change a color of firefox background.

I finally just scrolled around in the Preferences page with the "cursor" down. Eventually I was able to find the colors area and was able to change the color as if I could actually see what I was doing. I am very embarrassed that what I did was stupid enough to cause this problem. Thanks for your help.
