I regularly get this warning of a Chrome unresponsive script that has stopped responding. This locks my T-bird, and I always need to kill it from the task manager. I run on Win10, and never installed Chrome. Can you help?

Thanks James

A short preface comment, is the "unresponsive script" and script name in the dialog box are normally just a symptom of a problem somewhere else. So ...

Please start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win10 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/12376/windows-10-start-your-pc-in-safe-mode

Still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode-thunderbird

Does problem go away, or get better?

Side question: what sort of beastie are these chrome scripts? They aren’t files, like .bat scripts, since the slash and colon are not permitted in file names.
