Every time I shut down Firefox and restart it I find I have had my home page changed and all the themes that I have selected, including the one that I have installed have been lost. I am getting very tired of having to reset everything each time I start Firefox. I want www.google.com as my homepage, NOT the Firefox info page that it seems to always revert to. When I install a theme I want it to stay with that theme. (I usually install trout stream as the theme that I want.)

SETTINGS WILL NOT TAKE

If your change gets overridden, could you check for a user.js file in your profile. The following article has a section on tracking that down: How to fix preferences that won't save.
