Okay I wish to set up thunderbird to automatically forward certain emails to certain friends automatically. I had outlook and had no problem with it. Not sure how to it with T-bird.

You will need to create a filter with the action of Forward to. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters
