Firefox is very slow/ laggy and practically impossible to use
So I decided to use my laptop that I haven't used for over about four months or so, when I launched Firefox it updated and as far as I can remember before the update it worked perfectly. I have tried many of the fixes online such as restarted it with add-ons disabled, refreshed it, install the 32 bit version, running Firefox As Administrator, My OS is Windows 10 (64-bit) , any help will be appreciated.

hi, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum (or if it's too long through a site like https://pastebin.mozilla.org/ and provide the link here)?
this might give us a clue what is going on. thank you!

Hello, here is the link for the troubleshooting information : https://pastebin.mozilla.org/9085646
thanks, you could try updating to firefox 60.0.1 which just got released and conatins performance fixes in relation to some addons (no affected one shows up in your info, but who knows)...
in addition i'd recommend to go to the firefox menu ≡ > options > privacy & security panel and under permissions check the setting to prevent accessibility services from accessing your browser, as this can prevent 3rd party tools from hooking into firefox and causing lags.
finally please update your nvidia graphics driver - the 397.31 release was quite buggy and they seem to have retracted it from their website: https://www.geforce.com/drivers/results/134072

After doing all of that it seems to have helped a bit, upon launch its still very slow and laggy and seems to use a lot of CPU but after around 5mins its speed picks up and it uses less CPU, not sure why that happens but it's at least usable now.
Hi, you can try going to Options --> General --> Performance and uncheck the box for Use Recommended Performance Settings and change the processes lower to 2 or go higher. Note changes to higher will effect using more cpu and or ram. Reboot after making changes is mandatory.
