Hi all -

Under Windows XP, I was able to create a desktop shortcut to bring me into the Private Mode page. Here is the XP switch under Properties->Target for the shortcut: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window

However added switch of -private-window doesn't work on Windows 7 or 10.

Any ideas? Thanks :)

Hi Yes, it works. You try creating a new shortcut: right mouse button on desktop, new, shortcut, complete with "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -private-window and shortcut name

That's right. So why can't I create a Private Window shortcut in 7 & 10? Did the syntax change in FF 59.0.3? Or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks.

@GerardoPcp04 -

The problem is eye strain.

I inadvertently put an additional space before the first hyphen.

Thanks :)
