Moving .eml files to thunderbird
I have a batch of .eml files from a previous Windows Live Mail that I want to move to my Thunderbird Local Folder (V 52.7.0). I read that you can drag and drop these files but I do not know where to drop them in Thunderbird. Can anyone assist please.
Chosen solution
Drag the xpi file and drop it onto Tools/Add-ons/Extensions in TB to install (or click the gear icon next to Search and 'Install from file...').

Right-click Local Folders in the Folder Pane, New Folder..., and name it. Drag the eml files from File Explorer and drop them onto the new folder. Once they are in Local Folders, you can drag them to other TB folders, but it's recommended to do this in limited batches, especially if moving to IMAP folders.
Importing eml files can also be accomplished with the ImportExportTools add-on.
Thank you SFHOWES for your comments. I can now see how to move the eml files to TB folder in Local Folders. Re IMPORTEXPORTTOOLS, when I go to open it, it needs an app and I am not sure which one to choose. See attached. Can you advise the best option please.
