How do I stop the ICONS/GIFs in the preview pane from being oversized, covering around 5 emails

Various email subjects have oversized icons in the preview pane that cover other emails. Icon also shows in notification pop-up. I am running Debian Stretch.

Thank you for the response. I have never installed any themes. The only add-ons I have are lightning and provider for google calendar. The issue was happening for a few weeks. Funny thing is today the icons are properly sized. No idea what fixed it or caused it. I guess I will say the issue is solved and revisit if it happens again.

if it does not occur in the default theme (and footballs do not look very default) you will need to communicate with the theme developer.
