Manually: Make hidden files and folders visible: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Show_hidden_files_and_folders

Location of profile.

  • C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\<Profile name>\

If you copy paste the 'Thunderbird' folder, it will copy all the profile data and the 'profiles.ini' file.

The 'profile name' folder contains all preferences, emails, address books etc. 'Profile name' folder by default is called 'xxxxxxx.default', (unless you created another), where the 'x's are letters and numbers. At the very least, copy and paste the 'profile name' folder to an external hardrive.
