Where to set the default charset for the source view window

When I view the source code of a message the option "View-Text Encoding" is set to "Western". I need it to be "Unicode".

(I'm not completely sure about de names of the settings as I have only the german version of thunderbird at hand)

Nope, doesn't seem to be making any difference.

As there was the question in the discussion you mentioned if OS is involved: the problem seems to be the same on Linux and Windows. The suggested solution doesn't help on Linux, will test on Windows.
