I am using an MacBook Pro. I accidentally deleted the Thunderbird Profile.

I can't restore the profile. So I re-download Thunderbird and try to Re-install it. Your Thunderbird profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

I can't restore the profile.

Why not? Don't you have a backup? Something called Time Machine?

Well I didn't know how to do a backup so Id didn't do a back up the Time Machine didn't work.

Make sure you can see hidden files and folders:

MAC Profile is usually stored here: Mac OS X Profile folders are located here:

  • ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles/<Profile name>/

The tilde character (~) refers to the current user's Home folder, so ~/Library is the /Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library folder.

'Profile name' folder is usually called 'xxxxxxxx.default', where the x's are letters and numbers. What do you see in the ~/Library/Thunderbird/Profiles folder ? Post an image so the forum can see what you have got stored.

In the ~/Library/Thunderbird folder, there should be a 'profiles.ini' file. Open this using a simple text editor program like Notepad. Post an image of the contents.

None, I told you there is NO Thunderbird Folder in the Library.

Sorry, I try this:

/Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library folder

But there is NO Library folder though.

Ok, I did found:

/Macintosh HD/Users/<username>/Library folder

Thunderbird/Profiles/

Nothing in that folder.
