I want a reminder to go away for now. But not to pop up every 5 minutes. Have trawled the forums, but not able to find the difference between dismiss and dismiss all. thanks.

Chosen solution

Dismiss is to dismiss the reminder you have selected. Dismiss All is for when you have more than one reminder showing. You set the default Snooze time under Options-Calendar-Reminders This works if you select Snooze, not Dismiss. When I select Snooze I get a menu to select the time.

Thanks for clarifying. Snooze was 5 minutes. no wonder! :-)
