Seems to have started about the time the little lock started to show up by the account name, but I'm not sure about this. I have no way of looking at my sent mail. If I try to add a folder it says it already exists.

Chosen solution

I made an error on my statement. Thunderbird does show all folders for google mail. For aol mail, any time I try to display folders (subscribe etc.) nothing shows up. I do have View|Folders|All View|Threads|All set.

Thank you for your help.

Are these missing folders all subscribed?

Do you have any filters activated that might be hiding some folders?

View|Folders|All View|Threads|All

All the QuickFilter Bar options off?

This did not solve my problem. I must have clicked "solved" accidently.

I tried the suggestion "Right-click the account, Subscribe..., then Refresh." None of the folders that I see in my browser show up on the list.

The account is AOL, which probably changed from being a POP when I first began using Tbird. Should I delete then re-introduce the AIM/AOL/Netscape (that's how old it is) account to Tbird? After Hotmail changed I now have the old as Hotmail POP and another Hotmail IMAP; but they informed me that they were changing to IMAP so I knew I had to do something; AOL didn't.

I also have the same problem wth my Comcast (now Xfinity) account, but Hotmail, as I said, now displays all.

I have not brought GMail or Apple Mail into Tbird, so I don't know what they'd show
