Why doesn't quantum have nice rounded tabs

I've just updated to Quantum and wondered if there was any way to get rounded tabs back again. In my opinion, it looks like an "unfinished" product the way it is now, somehow.

Not what I would call "rounded tabs"! Not as "square" as the default Quantum tabs, but a long way off from what Australis had.

You can make the top corners as rounded as you like. Just increase the border-radius: 5px; But I found less curvy look more professional. Just as straight bottom corners.

That said, I do like your rendition better that others that I have tested; those others didn't look good on Windows 7 for me. Thank you!

My pleasure.

Hi  !

Would you please take a look at this :

'Hope this will do what you want  !

Hi Happy112, Thanks for the offer but, as far as I can see, this is an alternative to FF and not a solution, and I would be reluctant to move away from the security of Mozilla. Ian

Maybe what cor-el mentions in this thread will help :

Hi Happy112, Quite possibly all very interesting, except I am a User as distinct from a Developer and haven't a clue what most of it is about.

Hopefully, if enough people complain about the square tabs, Mozilla will come up with a solution in the form of a straight update, sooner rather than later.

Thanks for being helpful though.

You know, when the tabs were curved, so many user complained about that : "I want square tabs  !"

And now people are complaining again .....

Like I've been saying to so many people these past few days :

Mozilla developers have been working so hard, trying to please everybody, which is near to impossible.

What one likes - the other one hates.

You just can't please everyone ......

I'm sorry I can't be of anymore help - maybe somebody else will come to your rescue ......

Have a look at the below image. If you would like Quantum to look like that, see https://github.com/FrankConijn/Firefox-Quantum-Rounded-Tabs.

They called those 'sexy curves' and 'sexy things' ......

FrankCo's tabs are way more 'classy', don't you think  ? They're not distracting, but have just that 'je ne sais quoi' ......
