Migrating from Pegasus: How can I mark priorities of incoming email?

I'm trying to make a big leap from Pegasus Mail, which I've been using since around 1992 and have something like 48,000 messages saved, from.

So I just found out how to color code in-box messages, that's cool.

But what about if I have an in-box message that I want to mark so it stays at the top of the heap? In Pegasus, it can be marked Urgent and it does that. But what about Thunderbird?

Thanks!

The 'Important' Tag is no. 1 in the list of the pre-defined tags, so if you select View/Sort by/Tags & Descending & Unthreaded,

View? I'm totally new to this program and don't see a View menu.

the messages tagged as Important always appear at the top of the Threads Pane (message list).

I always want them in date descending order. i.e. latest at the top, but Pegasus allows me to also tag an email as Urgent, and puts that above the date descending list.

The same could be done if you prefer to Star (S) messages. Other options include creating an Urgent subfolder and having a filter automatically move messages to that folder according to various criteria.

try turning on ll the menu and toolbats. makes learning so much easier as information from 10 years ago suddenly has corresponding menu commands.
