When I press 'x' the current tab is closed. This behavior is new and undesired. Is there a way to disable this?

Pressing 'x' on the keyboard closes the current tab (when a text box is not selected). This is happening on Ubuntu with Firefox 55 and on OS X with Firefox 56. It interferes with my work (Jupyter Notebook) and I would like to disable it.

Chosen solution

I found the solution to my problem. It was because of the "Get Archive" extension by Geoffrey De Belie. Disabling the extension fixed my problem.
