While setting filters to move unwanted e-mails I must have made a mistake, because suddenly all incoming e-mails are being moved to the rubbish bin. How can I change this filter for e-mails I want to receive?

Chosen solution

Go to Tools|Message Filters

You'll get a window with a drop-down box where your accounts appear, and listing all the filters for the selected account. Choose the appropriate account and then edit, disable or remove the offending filter.

A common oversight or misunderstanding comes from the "match all…" and "match any…" options.

Match all the following means that all the filter's tests must be satisfied to trigger the action. It's a boolean AND.

Match any of the following means only one of the rules has to be satisfied. This is a boolean OR.

OTOH, "Match all messages" means don't do any filtering, just apply the actions to all your messages regardless of their content.
