The contents of the crash report (before I did any reinstallation) are below… (and I think I also have about 30 "crash" reports from my profile if they are relevant)

My firefox has suddenly crashed and won’t restart. It says “We're Sorry Firefox had a problem and crashed. We’ll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report.” etc It suggests I send a crash report to Mozilla but it says there was a problem submitting the report and a restart doesn’t happen. I’ve tried starting in safe mode (Shift + double click firefox icon) and it doesn’t work. I’ve tried the command line version with –safe-mode and it doesn’t work, always giving the same above apology. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no difference. I’ve tried older versions to no avail. I had forgotten how bad internet explorer was, but that is now the only way I can access the internet and it is giving me a very confusing presentation of the Mozilla support site and I am struggling to find where to submit my question so please excuse me if I have arrived in the wrong forum. I’m getting the feeling that I might have a plug-in problem, but I can’t open firefox to even start to address that possibility. Please help!
