Is there an automatic online backup for bookmarks, that I could restore a previous setup from?
Hi, A crash of Firefox has reset my settings and most importantly deleted all my bookmarks. I do not possess any offline backup and am wondering if any automatic online backup (or other magical tricks) could get me back to the configuration I had 1 week ago... Thanks!

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/febe/ FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension)
FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backups of files that you choose.

Did you check if there are automatically created bookmark backups available?
- Bookmarks -> Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup -> Restore
Do you have an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop in case the Refresh feature in Firefox has been used and a new profile has been created?

Thanks for your answer. I wanted to reset my computer and thought that I could find a backup online after. So I reset without saving this "old firefox data" folder (which i do remember seeing). Well, it's done. Thanks for confirming i cannot get back my previous setup.

Thanks for your answer and telling me about those extensions!
Look for a folder named 'Windows old' It might be in the root directory c:\ or your user profile.
