cant add items to toolbar

When trying to add items to Toolbar via 'Customise' i.e. add print symbol to header- just shows no entry sign wherever I try to drag it to - I also can't reorder the items by 'click and drag'. These problems occurred recently, presumably an update was added automatically and reset my settings.

Hi SFHowes

I didn't try your idea because I continued (in desperation) to try to resolve the problem which weirdly I did by opting to change the toolbar to the right hand side which then allowed me to make the changes.

I then switched back so the toolbar was back on the top and the changes didn't disappear. As a test I tried to make other changes (additions/deletions of items) and it worked fine. Obviously some 'gremlins in me binary'.

Thanks for taking the time to try and resolve for me - much appreciated

It appears you have a broken layout, so I suggest you start in safe mode (hold Shift when you launch TB), then check 'Reset toolbars and controls' and click 'Make changes and restart'. See if that makes the toolbar customize work properly.
