I want to mimic the Chrome behavior.

Clicking on a recently closed item in history should open it in a new tab or window.

It opens on top of whatever page I am currently on, which is annoying,

Thank you for your help, maybe i can set a flag or something like that (I am on Nightly).

Chosen Solution

Right-click the entry and select Open New Window or Open New Tab.

Works in the history window but not on the dropdown (which is what i was inquiring about).

Chrome does this in the history dropdown so that you can quickly restore something you've closed by mistake.

Marking as resolved for now, let me know if there is a way for the dropdown.

Thank you so much

You can middle-click a link with the mouse scroll wheel to open the link in a new tab. This also works in drop-down menus and some context menu items.
