My Unread icon has disappeared from the menu bar. Please help cannot find quick solution. Thank you.
Hi There,
There is probably a simple solution to this problem, but for the moment not obvious to me. You time and assistance to solve is greatly appreciated.
For the past week or so i notice the 'Unread' icon is not available on the menu bar; (see attached screenshot).
Please advise of correct setting.
Kind Regards

I am not sure what you mean by an "unread icon". The only one I have is on the QuickFilter bar.
View|Toolbars has an option to select or deselect the QuickFilter bar. You may also have a button on your regular toolbar, which normally has a magnifying glass icon.
I have noticed that if I have a menu open and use escape to close it, and if I tap escape too often, the QuickFilter bar vanishes too. So it's all too easy to hide it accidentally. :-(
There is another Unread view function available to you at View|Folders|Unread, and in current versions of Thunderbird, this selection is shown to you at the top of the Folder Pane, at the left. This tends to be my preferred way of finding any unread messages that need my attention.
