Hello I removed an IMAP (gmail) account. It still shows up in the "Get all messages" list - so it keeps trying to get my emails from an account that does not exist. How do I remove the account from the "Get all messages" list?

If you really removed the account there is no data for Thunderbird to use to get messages.

Go to Help and select Troubleshooting Information. Click Copy to Clipboard and come back here and paste that into a reply window.

There is no need for the printer or font info so if it tells you it is to large to paste eliminate that section.

Thanks for the help. The account I removed was called metropolis-productions (through gmail) I see it listed below as account 13. But it does not appear in my account settings after I removed it.

This shows Local Folders that you apparently renamed Danny. Remember that you renamed Local Folders if you ever ask a question about it.

It also show 7 other accounts. Is it one of those 7 accounts in question or is there something else?

How did you Remove the account in question?

Sorry I missed where you stated it was #13.

I removed the account by going to:

Tools | Account Settings | selecting the account, then | Account actions then | remove account.

The account I removed was called metropolis-productions (through gmail) It is listed as account 13 on the info I pasted.

more options

If you go through the same remove actions now this account is not listed?

Strange!

I will message a couple of people with more knowledge that me so see if they have an idea.

more options

Correct - the account is not listed. Only in the list under the button that says "Get Messages" So Thunderbird keeps checking for that account and I get an HTML page that pops up (attached) Then a Thunderbird message at the bottom left of my screen that says "failed to connect to server danny@metropolis-productions.com"

Thanks for your time & help.

Do you have a network calendar from Gmail with that account linked to Thunderbird

more options

I see you have a number of accounts, including #13, that are set to send through smtp.gmail.com or smtp.googlemail.com. Did you add your various non-gmail identities to a gmail account on the Gmail website, under Settings/Accounts and Import, in order to allow sending through the gmail outgoing server? If so, you may need to detach those identities to fully 'remove' them from TB.

more options

I do not have a network calendar from Gmail.

---

I only added the gmail accounts through Thunderbird.
